Terms of Service.
Last updated 8 August 2026
1. About these terms
Pawfile is provided by Ian Boddison, trading as Pawfile, of 79 Beacon Road, Holbrooks, Coventry, CV6 4DQ. Contact hello@pawfile.uk. These terms apply when a home dog boarding business creates or uses a Pawfile Account. Pawfile is a business service and is not offered for personal or household use.
2. The beta service
Pawfile provides Household, Contact, Dog and Meet & Greet record-keeping tools. The beta may change as feedback arrives. We will take reasonable care to keep it available and protect stored information, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be promised.
Pawfile supports administration. It does not replace veterinary, legal, licensing, insurance or other professional advice and it does not guarantee that a business complies with its licence or the law.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate Account information, use a strong password and keep access private. You are responsible for activity through your Account unless caused by Pawfile’s failure to use reasonable care. Tell us promptly if access may have been compromised.
4. Your records and responsibilities
You keep ownership of information and material you add. You give Pawfile permission to host, copy, process and send it only as needed to provide and protect the service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your records, deciding what must be retained and having a lawful basis to record personal information. You must give Contacts appropriate privacy information. Do not upload unlawful, harmful or irrelevant material or use Pawfile to infringe another person’s rights.
Signed Meet & Greet documents preserve a point-in-time outcome. Working answers may later change. You remain responsible for checking current care information and keeping any separate records your business or licence requires.
5. Free allowance and future pricing
The current beta is free for the first 25 real Dogs. Demo Dogs do not count. Active, hidden and deceased real Dogs do count. A £5 monthly unlimited plan is planned but is not currently available and does not form part of these terms. We will explain any future price, billing period and cancellation terms before asking you to buy anything.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass security, access another Account, disrupt the service, upload malicious code or use Pawfile for an unlawful purpose. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect Pawfile, its users or other people. Where practical, we will explain the issue and give you a chance to put it right.
7. Closing an Account
You may ask to close your Account by emailing hello@pawfile.uk. Before closure, save any records you are legally or operationally required to keep. We may end the service or an Account on reasonable notice or sooner for serious misuse, security risk or legal necessity.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, Pawfile is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or a boarding decision made from inaccurate, incomplete or outdated records. During the free beta, Pawfile’s total liability arising from the service is limited to £100. These limits apply only so far as the law allows.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms when the service or law changes. Material changes will be brought to Account holders’ attention before they take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction.
